How do I initiate a trade?Start by creating a free membership. What is the criteria for describing my trades -condition-?Please, be forthright. You can include pictures if you are not sure, but it's not required. Here's a simple guide to help: New - never used Mint - used very little with no sign of use Excellent - used moderately with none - little sign of use Very good - used regularly with normal and expected wear/tear Good - used frequently with above normal wear/tear Fair - heavy use with heavy wear/tear, however still works perfectly We do not accept non-working equipment. How is my trade appraised?We make every effort to offer a fair trade value based on current sales, condition, popularity, etc. We also consider estimated turn-around, profit margin, taxes, and a few other factors when trading equipment. How do I complete a trade?You will receive an email including the trade offer and an invoice within 24 business hours of the inquiry. If you decide to decline the offer, please let us know for inventory purposes. If you accept the offer, please pay the remaining balance which includes the equipment you're purchasing minus your trade value. Send the pedal you are trading to the address listed on the invoice. When do I ship the pedal I am trading?When you accept a trade offer, please pay your invoice and send your trade to the address listed. You assume responsibility for shipping the equipment you're trading so please use whichever carrier and rates is most convenient. Keep in mind, we do not ship your new equipment until the traded equipment is received and verified. The new equipment includes free standard shipping to the lower 48 US states. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or any country outside of the US will have additional shipping charges. P.S. Traded equipment is checked in the day it is received to expedite the process. Can I trade-in equipment for cash?No, this program is strictly a trade-service. The value included in a trade offer can only be used for equipment listed in the Dollar Pedal Club online store. Do all of my pedals qualify for the trade-program?No, several items are considered when submitting a trade offer (e.g., current inventory, availability, value, condition, comparable listings, etc.) However, we respond to every inquiry within 24 business hours and it doesn't hurt to check. Can I add more than one rental to the same cart?No, when you click "Rent Now", you are taken directly to checkout and any other products that have already been added for one-time purchase are not included in the purchase. This is a known "feature request" for our website host and we will be notified as soon as this is updated. What is included with a Rent-a-Pedal plan?By choosing Rent-a-Pedal, you are renting the selected pedal for the low monthly Rental Fee listed. Is there a minimum time commitment for keeping a rental?No, there are no long-term commitments attached to the Rent-a-Pedal plans. However, each time you pay the Rental Fee, you are securing the subsequent 30 days in advance. We suggest taking full advantage of the secured time. Also, we cannot prorate Rental Fees. How long will it take to cancel my monthly rental fee when it is returned?Rentals must be returned to inventory before the monthly Rental Fee is canceled. Rentals are checked back into inventory the same day they are received, Mon-Fri. If you notice a package is delayed by a carrier and become concerned it won't reach us on time, email our customer service listed below (Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm CST), and we will look into it for you. Can I buy an active rental?In most cases, YES, as long as the rental was initially available for purchase when the Rent-a-Pedal plan began. Some of our rarer pedals are NOT available to purchase (e.g., some Analog.Man, discontinued pedals, etc). These pedals are harder to obtain; therefore, we prefer they remain an option for our loyal customers when they are available. If you have decided to purchase a rental, please contact our customer service at the email listed below and an invoice will be created for the retail price of the pedal minus any rental fees you have already paid. As soon as the invoice is paid, the rental plan will be cancelled and you will no longer be charged the monthly rental fee. Still have questions? How much is shipping?Free shipping within the lower 48 US states. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, or any country outside of the US will have additional shipping charges. Trade-program shipping: The customer assumes responsibility for shipping trade equipment to the address provided. When the trade equipment is received, the new equipment is sent and includes free shipping the lower 48 US states.
